I was born and raised in Gary, Indiana, spent my teenage years in California, and now I am transplanted here in Dallas, TX. I was a retail executive for a fortune 500 company for many years. I loved my occupation in regards to achieving goals and meeting or going above expectations, but hated working 50 to 60 hours a week for less than I was worth. I despised the fact that my life was dictated by someone else and cringed every time I had to enter that environment. I decided to take charge of my life! I realized every day that I was going to be a parked car (not do anything about it) my family would ultimately suffer from the misery I brought to the table! I definitely could have found all the reasons to just be content with a mediocre life and mindset. Indeed, I could have found every excuse to roll over and give up; however, thanks be to God and some profound leadership I was awakened by a giant! One of my closest mentors said to me, Mr. Manuel Thomas, you can choose to make excuses or make money, but you cant do both.
