Broad-based counseling and teaching skills developed through many
years of experience in this area. Due to an upbringing in Japan and a
deep immersion into that culture, Maria appreciates and enjoys a wide

CPE. This has allowed Maria to be very comfortable counseling
critically sick people and with the hospital

before starting hospice work
-- Author of the book: The Last Adventure of Life: a compilation of a
treasure-trove of resources for those going through transitions of all
kinds, including death. Second edition came out through Findhorn Press
last year; 3rd edition come out in Feb. this year through Finch
Publishing of Australia.


July, \'05 - Present Presenting, marketing, and finding new ways to help
get The Last Adventure of Life
into the world. Maria is developing a business of spiritual
consulting, offering day seminars, workshops,
presentations, and retreats based on her book and its
message. At this time, the 3rd edition of her book is being
published through Finch Publishing of Australia. The 2nd
edition came out last year with a new subtitle (Sacred
Resources for Living and Dying from a Hospice Counselor),
including some additional material beyond what was in the
1st edition.

July, 2005 After four-plus years of work on it, Maria self-published the
book, The Last Adventure of Life: Sacred Resources for
Transition. Maria has been marketing and presenting her
book in various arenas such as: Hospices, hospitals,
spiritual retreat centers, churches, senior centers,
retirement communities, and bookstores.
