Santa Clara, CA SR QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER
Researched and ordered all new PC\'s used in the QA Lab and
in the Engineering pool.
Submitted weekly status reports to Management, referencing
the progress of the test results of the Intel Converged
Communication Platform (PBX), hardware and software
progress. Provided early testing of the Headless NT Beta
Release before the Intel Converged Communication Platform
was ported to that O/S. This was at the request of James
Davidson (DSC Engineering Director). Setup and configured
all of the Intel Converged Communication Platforms for all
of the developers, because the configuration of each
platform was very complex. Many 1 and 2 week trips were
taken to the Dallas office to support the Platform
developers while they were in crisis mode. Team member
responsible for writing platform system test plans and test
cases, as well as validating the test plans against the
platform. Responsible for the integration of the S/W
Master CD, including the O/S, Firmware patches, drivers and
Virus Detection. This CD was then distributed to other
locations, Dallas, Atlanta, New Jersey and New Zealand. In
charge of the Win 2K deployment and the instructions on
usage to employees in the work pool. One of two people
that configured the Abacus (Bulk Call Generator), for
testing of the Intel Converged Communication Platform


SITE AREA COORDINATOR (SAC) for the INTEL CONVERGED
COMMUNICATIONS
PLATFORM
Site Area Coordinator for the Intel Converged Communication
Platform testing and problem tracking prior to the adoption
of the Continuus/PT system for problem tracking. Attended
daily meetings of the entire development staff, reporting
the status and progress to upper management.
Authored extensive trouble shooting procedures for the
Intel Converged Communication Platform. These procedures
were then incorporated into the Operations Manual.


DSC QA LAB SUPERVISOR
Setup QA Lab in Dallas, Texas. Primary resource for setup of QA labs
in San Jose and at DSC QA facility (design and layout per
Intel standards). Responsible for the supervision of the
completion of the QA lab installation after Design and
Layout was completed Installed, configured and supervised
the Dialogic (Intel) Exchange Server for SW Engineer Staff.
Installed, configured and maintained the Network Servers
for the QA Lab as well as maintained all networked systems,
inclusive of SW Development Engineers systems involved in
the upward mobility of the Intel Converged Communication
Platform.


Aug 98 - May 00 QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER: Responsible for all
MIS/IS quality assurance areas and the
Picazo Communications proper function of all OEM software releases
(S1, Connect, CTPRO, WGA, INCLINE, Picazo Attendant Incorporated
(all of these are CTI applications). Co-designed the 11 PEU exclusive
client software
San Jose, CA release, which includes all software applications
and testing. Rebuilt complete lab to meet current industry
Standards. Researched and supported the design of Picazo\'s
product platform (Incline) for Windows 2000 server. With
extensive Windows 2000 knowledge, successfully reported a
security bug in Windows 2000, from which Microsoft wrote a
white paper. Responsible for testing and bug reporting on
Microsoft \"MILLENNIUM\" product.








Jan 98 - Aug 98 ASSOCIATE NETWORK CONSULTANT: Responsible for trace
file analysis and
Network Associates troubleshooting of client networks using the Network
General Sniffer analyzers (for Ethernet, Incorporated, Token Ring,
FDDI, and Frame Relay). Advised clients on problem resolution, and prepared
Menlo Park, CA reports and documentation to support the findings and
recommendations. Remotely dialed into customer sites via
modem (serial), SLIP, PPP, and RAS, to gather data for
network troubleshooting and analysis. Responsible for beta
testing Router PM, a product designed to analyze the
workload of client routers.

Aug 97 - Dec 97 NETWORK SUPPORT ENGINEER: Responsible for
maintaining all Distributed Sniffer Systems Network General (DSS)
and Portable Sniffer systems rented to clients. Assured all systems were
virus free, removed Corporation unnecessary files and data,
verified proper software configuration with current code, repaired
equipment, Menlo Park, CA and maintained rental records and
inventory control. Solely responsible for the installation and software
configurations of all lab Windows NT 4.0 servers and
configuration of all corporate production software (i.e.,
Service Level Manager, Reporter for NT, Net Xray, Chariot,
Router PM, Switch PM, Reporter for Unix, Windows NT 4.0
w/Service Pack 3, SQL 6.5 w/Service Pack 3, and HP Open
View). Assisted in the installation and configuration of a
Network Operations Center, which supported remote client
network monitoring, network analysis and security; setup
and configuration of Borderguard, Shiva, Netranger,
Cybercop, Cisco 4500 and 2500 routers with all related
software. Beta tested all new deliverable services.

Nov 96 - Jul97 LEAD REPAIR TECHNICIAN: Responsible for all
corporate and clients system repair for DSS, Network General
Portable Sniffer analyzer, Compaq portables, and Toshiba laptops. Repairs
involved all system aspects
Corporation (hardware, software reload, and software conflicts),
document bug issues and assist in problem
Menlo Park, CA resolution. Provided daily support to the Technical
Support Department and other departments
Responsible for customer assistance. When assigned to the
Repair Department, there was a 90-day backlog of repairs;
within 60 days, reduced the backlog to zero. Achieved a 24-
hour turn around time for all RMA\'s, the first in company
history. Negotiated a program with the outsourced vendors
to achieve a 48- hour turn around for all services and
parts replacement.

Sep 96 - Nov 96 MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN: One of a two person team
responsible for the assembly and
Network General quality assurance of all the DSSs, to include the
installation of network cards (for Ethernet, Token Ring,
Corporation High Speed WAN, ATM, and FDDI), and the installation and
configuration of all appropriate software.

May 96 - Aug 96 TOSHIBA REPAIR TECHNICIAN: Temporary assignment to
Computer Care in Mt. View, CA.
Tech-Aid Responsible for diagnostic and repair of all models of Toshiba
laptops, including all component
Foster City, CA replacement, configuration of software, and
troubleshooting problems.

Jan 93- Apr 96 OWNER/OPERATOR, COMPUTER RETAIL SALES AND SERVICE:
Responsible for all sales,
Green Valley purchases, and services for the business. Designed,
implemented and instructed a Computer Assembly
Computer Works and Maintenance class for the local area Vocational
Technology School. This was the only course of this
