Management Experience
. Chief Operating Officer of a long distance telecom supplier. Introduced
two new products and managed a team of 55 staff including a local call
center and two remote call centers. Arranged for a major educational
organization to promote this companies telecom product to staff,
teachers, parents and pupils. Improved staff morale.
. Created project management office for an organization running a contact
service via an IVR. Managed 6 project managers in this marketing
. Created project management office for the Electronic Banking Group of a
major Canadian Bank. Managed 22 senior project managers for projects
covering internet banking, ATMs and Telephone Banking using an IVR and
large call centres.
. Created a Test Management Office and the testing methodology for a major
American Financial Institution. Managed team of 115 contract and full-
time staff supporting 174 separate projects improving financial
applications on a wide variety of different systems architectures.
. Project Director for a major mainframe development project for an
Ontario Government Agency. Project timeframe was directed by
legislation and was completed within that mandated end date. 22 person
team with a budget exceeding $3 million.
. Eastern Region Project Director for the Y2K project for a major
international waste management company. Responsible for the successful
remediation, etc of both the industrial and laboratory equipment as well
as the information technology for 70 separate locations throughout the
United States and Canada. Had a team of 30 project managers (both IT
and IE staff) as well as site personnel. Conducted project while client
was in Chapter 11 processing. Project completed on time.
. Project Director for a company developing an Internet Portal tracking
orders and shipments for client organizations and their customers.
. Managed the move of an Ontario Government Agency\'s offices. Involved
staff and equipment for more than 220 individuals to an office that was
under construction.
. Establishment of 4 Regional Office for a Provincial Government Agency
. The establishment of the US Operations for a Canadian firm specializing
in TV advertisement monitoring
. Managing a team of 70 in the design, development and implementation of a
fully integrated \"Management Information and Operating System\" (MIOS)
covering all aspects of the operation of a multi-location wholesale
hardware distribution company.
. Management of the decommissioning of older call centre technology for
new VoIP technology for a major Canadian Bank
. Management of the telecom portion of the outsourcing of call centres to
a third world country for a major Canadian Bank
. Management of two twelve-person teams for the testing, distribution and
implementation of 16,000 touch screen voting machines for the State of
. Management of a Mortgage Processing Outsourcing Project for a major US-
based Bank
