Bookwalter Retractor Systems, Atrium Chest Drainage and Xanar Surgical
Laser Systems.

Achievements:
. Developed new approach to surgical care and handling by introducing a
program called Instrument Analysis, by which all instruments were
visually inspected and either sent for repair or replaced where
needed.
. In addition, introduced a program called Instrument Standardization
which effectively reduced overall instrument cost in the hospitals by
standardizing procedure trays where there was overlap. Both these
programs were very successful.
. Responsible for training, supporting and coaching the broker\'s reps in
Nfld, as well as support for the above mentioned programs in this
province.
. Assisted our specialist in the sale and in-service of a new laser
system in Moncton, NB.
. Successful introduction and resulting contract for a new chest
drainage system in largest hospital in Atlantic Canada. The process
was a complicated and extensive one, involving New Product
Development/Educator Director as well as 14 other Department heads,
finance and purchasing.
. Development and design for instrument trays (Donor and Recipient) for
Liver Transplant Program, being one of only three centers in Canada
performing this procedure at the time.
. Conducted many and various In-service and training sessions in various
depts.
