Glenn D. Krasker, MHSA, FACHE, serves as President and CEO of Critical Management Solutions, a consulting firm based in Wilmington, DE. Critical Management Solutions specializes in Joint Commission survey readiness, the turnaround of organizations faced with significant accreditation, licensure, and Medicare certification challenges, performance/quality improvement, and in medical error risk reduction. He has worked in the health care industry for more than 25 years, serving in executive capacities for urban teaching and community hospitals.

Mr. Krasker also served as Director of the Hospital Accreditation Program at the Joint Commission, where he was responsible for the accreditation of over 5,100 of the nations hospitals including all survey activity and the management of 200 physician, nurse, and hospital administrator surveyors and 50 Central Office professional staff. While at the Joint Commission, he directed the development of the Leadership and Nutrition Care standards in the Accreditation Manual for Hospitals and assumed primary responsibility for the revision of the Accreditation Manual for Ambulatory Health Care. Glenn was also instrumental in the redesign of the modern accreditation and survey process and implementation of the Joint Commissions sentinel event policy and protocol. He has successfully coached many organizations through the process of regaining accreditation, achieving continuous survey readiness, and the challenge of investigating medical errors.

Mr. Krasker has lectured nationally and internationally for the Joint Commission and numerous other professional organizations. He is the author of multiple books published by HCPro including Failure Modes and Effects Analysis: Building Safety Into Everyday Practice, which takes an in-depth look at conducting FMEAs in high-risk areas and co-author of The JCAHO 2005 and 2006 National Patient Safety Goals: Successful Strategies for Compliance. Glenn has served as guest faculty at Harvard Medical School and is currently a guest lecturer at The George Washington University Graduate School of Public Health and Health Services.
