Prepared product presentations for use by all reps across Canada. Set
standards for customer service in company. Troubleshooter for product line
and was sent to other territories to resolve issues and re-establish
presence in stores. Consulted with engineering to solve product issues and

Researched a problem with launch of a new product; analyzed the units,
evaluated the scope of the issue, consulted with the engineering team,
presented a solution and implemented the \"fix\" for the Canadian release of
the machines. Solved the problem for the \"test\" run and fixed the future

Developed a new department, new strategies for marketing in a big box
environment. Refined the processing system to allow for special orders and

Analyzed the \"position\" in the marketplace, researched the possibilities,
conceived of a plan, and managed the development of a point of purchase
display that was universally adopted by the manufacturer. Established a
unique brand awareness in a flooded market of brands and models
Defined a need for a more comprehensive method of tracking activity in the
business, researched available software, identified the requirement for
adaptive thinking and developed a program. Directed the implementation,
evaluated the requirements, adjusted as required, and initiated the move
forward to mainframe architecture from PC to ensure the required computing
power was in place. Created a system that is still (20 years later) ahead
of most retail operations and allows for multi-location monitoring. Worked
with a government-funded program and design consultant to modernize and
update an antiquated production line. Streamlined the manufacturing
process, refined the product, boosted sales and profitability. Analyzed
competitive products and \"borrowed\" ideas to enhance and improve. Modified
the product to open additional markets. Reduced costs, increased market
share, and made the concern profitable.
