. Managed the design, development and implementation of an online Ad
Sales Management System for a NY-based media sales company. The system
supports the firm's primary business of national TV advertising sales.
Orders detailing ad frequency, flight and demographic guarantees are
tracked from data entry through contract execution, scheduling, post
performance, invoicing and payment providing a complete operational and
financial solution for these data intensive processes. The system
supports both the firm's New York and Los Angeles offices.
. Retained as interim Technology officer by The American Museum of
Natural History. Responsibilities include supervising the technical
support of the user base, coordinating the standardization of the end-
user workstation environment, management of the analysis, design,
development and implementation of internal applications and advising
Museum management with respect to general technology issues.
. Successfully led the design, development and implementation of an
online Product License Management System for PolyGram Special Markets a
division of Universal Records Group. The system supports the
administration of this $300 Million business entity by maintaining artist
contract information and product information to manage royalty payables
and receivables based on third-party licensing of repertoire.
Additionally, the system manages new product development providing track
sequencing, clearance, profit-loss analysis and produces an array of
contract documents including deal memos, label copy and project status
reports. Efforts resulted in a 20% decrease in operating expenses and a
40% decrease in lead-time required to bring new products to market.
. Managed the design, development and implementation of Sony Music
Entertainment's corporate Human Resource Management System which
integrates applicant tracking, requisition management and fulfillment,
employee information and office temporary assignment tracking. System
rollout resulted in a 40% increase in department productivity while
yielding a 15% decrease in operational expenses.
. Managed the design, development and implementation of an online Tape
Library Management System for Polygram Holding Company, Inc. The online
system maintains physical tape, track content and inventory information
on original recording media for PolyGram and its associated labels (A&M,
Mercury, Motown, etc.). The system, while tracking the movement of media
between recording and storage locations, also serves as a library
research system by providing archivists with online query to PolyGram's
vast library of over 400,000 magnetic tapes of past and current
recordings. The system is operational at PolyGram's facilities in New
York, New Jersey, Nashville and Los Angeles and linked over the company's
intranet.
. Led the design, development and implementation of an online Mortgage
Origination And Tracking System for Chase Manhattan Bank. The
application, conceived as a market research tool to consolidate and
analyze mortgage applicant demographics from bank satellites across 42
states, eventually supplanted the institution's mainframe system as the
central repository of mortgage application tracking information. Data
from the satellite offices was automatically summarized and transferred
across district, hub and regional offices, as well as central management
and financial sites where loan information was summarized for both market
research, financial reporting and funds management.
. Designed and managed the development and implementation of an online
Expense Management System for GRP Recording, Inc. The system maintains
budget expenditures and commitments by project (catalog release) and
overhead departments. The Purchase Order entry, approval, and budget
management processes are all handled interactively over GRP's intranet.
The rollout of the system resulted in an approximate 20% increase in
departmental productivity.
