LETTER OF INTRODUCTION
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
Todays economy is hitting everyone hard and finding the right candidate for the position available must be exhausting. dozens, if not, hundreds of resumes will pour in about this position, everyone trying to make a good impression on you with a few words, list of skills, experiences, and education. I am a participant of the TICKET TO WORK PROGRAM through the Social Security Department and Vocational Rehabilitation. You may read through or scan my resume and toss into a rejection pile. I know that it is not considered professional to be an open book, but there are times when your outside life comes crashing in and there is no where to run. So, I must go forth and be brave, facing off with the thousands of others seeking stability in this upside down world of employment.
I want to submit my resume for consideration for positions within your agency that I feel I can accomplish with great pride and honesty. I spent a year at community college, training and assisting fellow students in the operation and maintaining of the Career Placement and Planning Center at Sacramento Community College. I operated as the assistant to the Career Centers Director, Susie Leone. I also guided students in their personal research of higher education choices and the directions that the career they are interested in, may take. Middle school student would come to the center for tours, two or three times a week, in which I would tell them how the center worked and demonstrated how the career research sources we had at the time, could tell them everything about what it would take in education, training and job opportunities at that time and in the next ten years.
I have also trained others that have worked under me in several jobs over the years. for nearly a decade, as a baker, I trained others in weights, measures, bake times, proof times, mixing procedures and all aspects of baking that was relevant to that job. I loved the work yet realized there would be little advancement in this career so I decided to change careers and returned to college. I have pursued the clerical aspects of various career fields, so that I could learn as much as I could about the most current office procedures and computer programs. A person wants to feel good about going to work and being a valuable part of a team. I hope to find that peace with your company.
I have studied on my own time, over the last two decades, trying to keep my skills and knowledge of the current computer programs and office procedures, up to date, to meet with requirements of the current work force. Honing my skills as an Administrative Assistant, receptionist, secretary, file clerk or any other position that I could qualify to do,so other than customized company programs, I am familiar with the most commonly used programs in the corporate world.
Over the years, I had a variety of jobs, both temporary and permanent, so staying up to date with the most recent programs used in the progression of office operations, required, many hours in class, going to Kinkos or the library to work on the programs that most offices may use. Familiarizing myself in the current operations of office protocol. I am a fast learner as long as I have the training and support. My hobbies are abstract crafts, sewing, and quilting. I am the mother of 6 wonderful furry dogs, Angel with buns in the oven, Peanut, Lela, Chaser, Bandit-daddy of buns in the oven, and Nova.
I will be looking forward to meeting with you at the interview.
Objective: To focus 20+ years of skills, experiences, and education in a position which suites both my employer and myself.

There was the job search computer and information resource that had to be maintained on a daily basis, college and career computers that students could use to research their college and course choices and availability for the future, a small library of career informational books that had a process of check out and maintainence, actions that needed to be taken for certain requests of students coming in to use the center, forms that had to be filled out and a process in which all this had to be recorded. I wrote this manual so that each person that worked in the center could use it for every aspect of the center and understand why and how these processes and equipment was to used.
