Java Applet based software "ORION"
> Load profile analysis to monitor & keep network healthy for
reliable power supply (i.e. connected load / peak load demand,
voltage / current variation)
> Site survey for existing services re-location, for
undergrounding of over head line due to change of area planning,
infrastructure expansion or on customer request & preparation
of proposal / cost estimate to execute the job
> Remedial action against the system abnormalities observed by the
system operation department
> Augmentation, load balancing & load diversion of overloaded /
fully loaded feeders & distribution transformers as observed
during load profile analysis or reported by the field staff
> Updating of records related to expansion & modification of
network in "Geographic Information System (GIS)
> Necessary technical assistance to tender section for material
procurement for bulk projects
> Review & approval of "Notice for Interruption of Services
(NIS)" for planned outages as requested by other DEWA sections
to carry-out their schedule activities

substation (11-6.6/0.4KV) prior to issue formal approval of
