Description:
Developed a preprocessing algorithm for computing
the turning function to compare polygonal shapes.
An algorithm was also developed to automatically
extract the monotone chain from the polygon.
Further, a smoothing technique may be applied to
remove noisy edges from the monotone
chain.
Responsibilities:
. Involved in research and development phase for implementing new
algorithms for shape recognition.
. Developed UI using Java Swing and JFrames.
. Java classes were used for automating each algorithm.

Description:
The software makes the hospital front desk management
electronic. As the software is tend to
be integrated with front desk and pharmacy, the software
ensures effective front desk management
from setting up an appointment with the doctor to
providing medication.
Responsibilities:
. Involved in research and development phase for understanding
the user needs of Front desk personnel.
. Interacting with the front desk personnel and UNLV health care
management after each phase to obtain feedback.
. Developed an interactive UI using VB forms for health care
front desk personnel to make all tasks electronic.
. Integrated the Pharmacy front desk with health care front desk
to electronically transfer insurance, prescription information
etc.

. Project Name: Energy Savings in Mobile Devices for TCP Downloads.
. Wireless environment simulated using NS2.
. Receiver advertised window size set to zero after the first
packet is received by modifying the required functions in TCP.cc
(client side) file.
. RFC1323 enabled in NS to calculate the RTT and end of burst.
This is done by modifying TCPsink.cc (server side) file.
. The sleep times of energy saving TCP and standard TCP is caught
and compared by modifying the TCP.cc file.
