Biographical Sketch
Mr. Siepmann has over 23 years of experience in the Information
Technology field, with a focus on Information Technology Security in
the last thirteen years. He is a well-recognized Security
Professional who has extensive experience working with Fortune 500
companies and US government entities. Throughout his career, he has
published articles, presented to large audiences, provided security
training, and managed numerous security engagements to successful
completion. He has more than ten years of project management
experience and founded 1 Security Solutions Applied, a security
consulting company. In his spare time Mr. Siepmann served as the Vice
President of Education for the NOVA chapter of the Information System
Security Association, the second largest chapter worldwide. He was
responsible for all training programs for the chapter at that time.

Founder and Principal Consultant 1 Security Solutions Applied (1SSA),
October 2008 to current
Mr. Siepmann has founded 1SSA, a security consulting company that is
focused on management consulting in the security space. One of the key
areas his company is focusing on is cost savings in security and
Identity and Access Management (IAM). Currently he is working with a
large Outsourcing organization to grow their security practice in
Germany. As part of this assignment he is working with a large Telecom
equipment manufacture located in Munich, Germany and several other
clients of the Outsourcing organization.

September 2007 to October 2008, Springfield, Virginia
Mr. Siepmann was the Security Lead for the Outsourcing initiative at a
large Utility company. He had five team leads reporting to him
covering seven functional security areas. In addition to the
geographical dispersed teams he had 5 local direct reports. Mr.
Siepmann was Accenture's counterpart to the client's CISO and was
being responsible for the security operations of the utility company.

Manager Audit and Enterprise Risk Services, Deloitte LLP
November 2006 to August 2007, McLean, Virginia
Mr. Siepmann worked as a manager in the Security Service Group for
Deloitte LLP. He has led various engagements for Deloitte LLP. His
clients include the Internal Revenue Service, Capital One, and Freddie
Mac. Some key accomplishments were:
. Managed IAM project (~$400K) aimed to evaluate the feasibility
of an implementation of role-based access at a large financial
client. Worked closely with the business side to define
processes and define business requirements for role based access
and IAM.
. Jump-started the security work stream for the Infrastructure
Roadmap Initiative at a large government agency. Conducted
initial scope analysis, developed Project Plan and staffing
. Managed SOX remediation work stream addressing audit findings
with a large financial client, supervising eight resources and
coordinating with various Directors and the VP on the client
side. Received outstanding client feedback.

IA - Disaster Recovery Manager (Senior Research Scientist), Battelle
Memorial Institute
June 2004 to November 2006, Arlington, Virginia
Mr. Siepmann started as the deputy Program Manager for the Information
Assurance group of the Battelle Arlington, VA office. His teams were
tasked to create FISMA-mandated Certification and Accreditation (C&A)
documentation. During that time he redesigned the Risk Assessment
process allowing for a quicker delivery while providing better
readability. Another well-recognized achievement was the streamlining
of the overall C&A process. Since May 2005 Mr. Siepmann's main role
has been the Program Manager for the Disaster Recovery program at the
Food and Drug Administration (FDA), managing four security
professionals, working closely with FDA's deputy CIO and CISO. Some
key accomplishments were:
. Sold and managed over $1.1 Million dollar of business volume for
the DR project.
. Worked with FDA to develop a Disaster Recovery implementation
. Worked with ORA to develop an approach on how to address
downtime issues with Prior Notice app.
. Did a preliminary analysis of a SCADA security offering

June 2003 - June 2004, Herndon, VA
During his time with TruSecure Mr. Siepmann gained a detailed
understanding of application and database level security. He reported
directly to the Trusecure Enhanced Service (TES) director. His
responsibilities included the management of projects with Fortune 500
companies, the development of a wireless security assessment offering
and working with the sales force. During projects, Mr. Siepmann not
only filled the role of the project manager but also was actively
involved in assessing the security posture of a client when necessary.
Some key accomplishments were:

with the ICSA labs, the Asia-Pacific group and the marketing

Mr. Siepmann was one of the senior consultants in Accenture's security
group that at the time was made up by approximately 50 security
professionals worldwide. Besides his project work Mr. Siepmann was
involved in various other activities including providing training and
speaking engagements.
