Main Duties:

Conducted on-site consultative services for Ford dealerships (Excellence in
Action/Growth in Action) throughout Canada, geared to identifying
performance gaps in sales, productivity, customer
service/satisfaction/loyalty (or any other key performance parameter) and
then delivered the training to address the issue(s).
Delivered specific training curriculums for various Ford dealer programs
(Genuine Scheduled Maintenance/Around the Wheel, Accessories Sales,
'Inspect What You Expect', Dealership Self-evaluation Training, to name a
few) to over 200 dealerships throughout Canada.
Performed hundreds of off-site (not at the dealership) seminars across
Canada, primarily addressing the fixed operations side of the business, for
thousands of participants over the past nine years.
Completed the writing of hundreds of process templates for businesses to
use, as well as the design of several workshops and seminars delivered on
behalf of Ford.
Designed (and delivered) a separate, stand-alone 'Personal Excellence'
program delivered over 10 consecutive weeks in 3-hour sessions to
dealership personnel, built on the understanding that proven personal

. Despite extensive distances/traveling, all training commitments were
honoured and delivered to both Ford and PSG Canada's standards; I have
never missed a training assignment in 9 years.

Created the sales manuals used for all sales representatives for this start-
up company in the (then) newly de-regulated pay telephone industry.
Wrote or co-wrote all of the sales process and policies.
Conducted the on-the-job training, recurrent training and ad hoc training
for sales representatives.
Developed the basic outlines for their job descriptions, role definitions
and performance appraisals prior to leaving, as well as their 'continuous
improvement' program.

Managed and controlled the parts inventory for a medium sized, highly

Oversaw the screening, hiring and training of an entirely new team of parts
professionals for my department.
Responsible for all of the marketing and promotion to wholesale accounts.

Key Accomplishments:

. I eliminated a six-figure plus 'shrinkage' problem left by my predecessor
through solid inventory control processes and practices, proper binning
and systematic quality control checks.
. I developed an innovative 'guaranteed' parts delivery promise to all
customers, increasing my wholesale parts sales three-fold while holding
3% more gross profit on every wholesale part sold.
. I completely re-organized the entire department, developing strong
processes with clear accountability metrics that dramatically improved
sales performance and profitability.

sales and leasing of vehicles.
Responsible for the proper administration of all accounts and for the key
task of delivering vehicles to customers - perfectly, every time.
Performed numerous ancillary tasks associated with the proper lot
management of the vehicles in inventory, updating of sales documents and
customer relationship management functions.

. I sold and delivered 119 vehicles (and 'split' 9 other sales) in my first
(and only) year on the sales floor. (of the 1,327 retails units the
dealership sold with 9 sales representatives and two sales managers.)
. I developed a new tracking sheet for used vehicles coming into our
inventory that accumulated accurate details on each vehicle.
. I achieved a score of 9.93 (out of 10) Customer Satisfaction Quotient on
all of my sales customer surveys in 1993, highest in the dealership that
year.

. I helped the Toronto West territory to achieve the 'Territory of the
Year' in 1987 and contributed to the franchise winning the top

. I also took on sales responsibilities, working on the sale of corporate
classes and/or individual enrolments to major clients, as well as the
delivery of the training itself.

around any of the airports/airspace that I was assigned to.

gaps so that they may be addressed promptly.

Key Accomplishments:

. In twelve years as an operational air traffic controller working
throughout Ontario, I had a flawless record.
. I served for 6 years as the Public Relations officer at Sudbury Tower,
giving dozens of careers presentations to high schools, public
information seminars, conducting interviews and coordinating visits to
the tower itself.
. I successfully trained 8 controller trainees (out of the 9 assigned to me
for training) in my 12 active years.
