Editing includes but is not limited to: In depth evaluations of writing
projects, establishing deadlines and guiding them to completion,
organization of writing, coordinate materials, dates and information,
locating and introducing authors to professionals that work within the
publishing field, primary researcher for on-going projects with local
individual authors.

Researching includes but is not limited to: Internet, library, and
periodical searches, historical research, site verification, and fact
checking. Copy editing includes but is not limited to: gaps in research,
incomplete thoughts, undeveloped or underdeveloped ideas, bibliography,
endnotes, and footnotes. Author materials are copy edited according to the
standards of the Chicago Manual of Style 15th Edition and The Elements of
Style by Straub.

Marketing and Distribution includes but is not limited to: The creation of
sales sheets, catalogs, and marketing of said catalog to resale businesses.
Included are the processing of orders and returns, inventory tracking,
accounts receivable, accounts payable, library and educational transactions
and special event coordination. We coordinate with publicist and authors
for book shipping and supplies.

Weekend Writing Clinics includes but is not limited to: arranging setup and
organization of at least 5 three hour, hands on and interactive writing
workshops and speakers, menus, social events, one three hour key note
speaker presentation, completing hotel reservations, workshops, supervision
of advertising for various writing clinics, phone contacts, and final
budget. Clinics are presented in various locations throughout the states of
Florida and Georgia.

publishing company. Critiques include but are not limited to character

2002 Convention Chairman, Florida Writers Association

Organizational Chair for the 1st Annual Convention for the Florida Writers
Association. Responsibilities included: Coordinating Lead Volunteers,
establishing schedules, arranging for workshops and speakers, menus, social
events, overseeing the operating, setup and completion of 20 one hour and
forty five minute workshops, three key note speaker presentations,

Supervised and organized the production of The Florida Palm, The Florida

materials, conversion of final project into camera ready electronic format,
publication and distribution.

1997 - 1999 Program Coordinator, Teaching Teams Program, University of
Arizona, Tucson

Assisted in creation and implementation of student teaching program
responsibilities included: Training students for teaching and peer
mentoring, writing, editing and presentations to faculty and board members
system wide. Wrote grant proposals for funding from inception to final
revision of grants for interdisciplinary research, designed and implemented
survey questionnaires, lecture material, quizzes, mid-term and final
examinations, adapted programs for Planetary science and astronomy course
work. Student teaching program was funded by a combined Kellogg and FIPSE
grant, covering a three (3) year period.

1990 - 1993 Project Administrator, KN Development Honolulu, Hawaii

Responsible for all phases of commercial construction contract management,
duties included: Composition and finalization of contract related packets,
approval and ordering of supplies for projects, arranging inter-island
transportation and delivery of supplies, execution of job-site inspections,
tracking of project deadlines, creation, editing and final design of sales
presentations and cost analyses.
