Canadian Volume & SMB Partner Manager
2002 - 2005

Planned, established and implemented a new group of Sun Volume Partners and
Distributors, developed business and solution strategies for Sun Volume
Products into Small-Medium Business (SMB) in Canada.

. Recruited and contracted EMJ/Synnex as a new Canadian Sun distributor and
managed the entire relationship (process, solution marketing and demand
creation events) recruiting more than 15 new Sun partners.

. Provided strategic and tactical assistance to the two existing
distributors, Arrow/MOCA and Access Distribution, on business and
solution strategies and efforts to refocus their partners on SMB in
Canada. Resulted in Sun entering the SMB market extending beyond the six

. Established the first Global Linux Competency Centre in Canada, receiving

for Sun Canada, which was adopted for both the Sun direct sales force and

Canada (Canadian Registry of Opportunities - CROP) that simplified
tracking, reporting and partner rebate payments.

Canadian Partner Sales Manager 2000 -

Managed five partner development managers across Canada responsible for
strategic and tactical sales through Sun resellers - included
distributors, technology and system integrators, eIntegrators, application
providers, original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and independent solution
vendors (ISVs). Worked closely with Sun corporate to define Sun's worldwide
role in small-medium business arena through partners.

. Introduced and recruited eIntegrators into Canada. These were smaller
integrators focused on web-based technology solutions - Blast Radius,
Blue Spark, Sapient, Burntsand, Daedalian (Telus), S-Scape, Keane.

. Attained SunRise Club (>100% revenue) in 2001-2002 fiscal year.

Partner Development Manager, Eastern Region
1996 - 2000

Sun partner recruitment, account planning, business development and partner
strategic and tactical sales for Eastern Ontario and Atlantic Canada.

and Atlantic Canada. With an annual budget in excess of $500k, created
programs and demand creation events teaming with Sun partners. Key markets
included telecommunications, and financial services, as well as all
government and internet commerce marketing efforts for Canada.

. Drove a project management approach to delivering complex events -
National Capital Show Jumping Sponsorship, GTECH (Government in
Technology Show) - introduced partner sponsorship into Sun events
effectively leveraging partner co-op.

. Negotiated and maintained the Federal Government Unix NMSO (National
Master Standing Offer) procurement Vehicle for 2 years resulting in an
additional $8-$10 Million in annual sales revenue.

Canadian Channel Marketing Manager
1989 - 1990

Responsible for the development of three NEW Sun partner reseller channels
in Canada - independent sales organization (ISO), original equipment
manufacturer (OEM) and distributor. Spearheaded framework development,
strategy, contracts and partner recruitment across Canada.

. Co-developed a revolutionary "direct sell" partnership model, Independent
Marketing Organization (IMO), recruited four IMO's in Atlantic Canada,
British Columbia, Southwestern Ontario and Manitoba and sales/process
managed the IMO partners. Resulted in Sun's most successful sales
expansion into remote and new urban markets - about 35% of Sun Canada's
overall revenues.

. Recruited four strategic OEM's - MacDonald-Detwiler, Newbridge Network
Systems, Willowglen and Intera establishing Sun in the OEM partner space
in Canada.

. Developed and drove the RFP (Request For Proposal) process which resulted
in Sun Canada's first Distributor, Merisel (now Arrow-MOCA).

1988 - 1989

Reported to the President of Sun Canada with the mandate to develop and
expand the System Engineering (SE) team in Canada and merge pre-sales and
post-sales software support teams under the Canadian Support Organization.
Directly managed 20 SE's introducing professional job levels and sales
recognition programs. Developed and delivered, across Canada, a Team Sales
Workshop, highlighting that everyone who touches the customer also sells to
the customer.

Police locations; 3) developed and instructed, at Algonquin College, a one-
day course on Problem Oriented Policing (POP). Adapted this course from a
three-day version intended for Police Officers.
