Details of job responsibilities:

Business development and key accounts management:

Relationship management of key accounts and responsible for new client acquisition for market research outsourcing services
Participating & managing consultative sales process for global clients for offshore MR services of Cross-Tab
Building rapport with high-level executives to determine their business issues & suggest feasible solutions
Mapping services of Cross- Tab with the client, consulting the client on their research needs & developing appropriate proposals
Pro-actively plan and conduct campaigns that would build strong qualified sales pipeline for Cross-Tab
Responsible for market analysis, market segmentation, client database & lead generation via emailing and cold calling to prospects.
Giving inputs and sketching plans for research team so as to keep a tab on dynamics of the market processes and leverage their skill to achieve the desired output

Market research operations and project management:

Preparing Proposals: Writing proposals based on project specifications such as industry/geography representation, company size (employees, revenues), duration and survey methodology

Project Scoping: Client communication, Client interface, new client development, Budgeting and resource allocation to projects, effort estimation, resource requirement, survey programming, sample allocation, and assigning responsibilities

Project Execution: Liaising with the client for finalization of the research methodology, questionnaire design, project team training, mentoring and grooming new team members, maintaining survey quotas, overall quality check, regular client communication including project updates, Conference calls, interim/final data delivery. Identifying and resolving possible issues, addressing client and setting right expectations
Project Delivery: Liaising with internal staff & all kinds of 3rd parties for fieldwork, coding, data entry and data processing for timely delivery of quality data and responsible for delivering research data sets in various data output tools like MS-Excel/SPSS/MS-PowerPoint

Project Overview: The client is a small group of private investors based primarily in Hong Kong. The members of this group together possess many years of experience and expertise in building and running businesses in the financial and general media and technology sectors.

The client wanted to conduct an exploratory study in order to explore the feasibility of establishing an on-line financial news and information service. This service will be designed to focus specifically on the Mainland and Greater China financial and capital markets with aim of providing insights, and analysis to the English speaking professional investment, money management, private equity, and venture capital companies in Asia, North America, and Europe.

This study aims at gauging the level of interest, attitudes and perceptions of potential customers for this service, identifies expectations and unmet needs in terms of the availability of information (scope, level of detail and reliability) from current information providers, and garnering information on the current and expected formats/platforms of financial information delivery

Work Approach/ Research Methodology: Evalueserve conducted telephonic interviews on behalf of the client. The respondents consisted of Senior decision makers with respect to purchase of On-line financial news and information services in VCs, PEs, Investment houses and hedge funds firms in United States, United Kingdom, and Hong Kong. A total of 11 respondents participated in the study.

EVS drafted the questionnaire in conjunction with the client. Evalueserve conducted the telephonic interviews and monitored the fieldwork closely to tie any loose ends.

A Study of Global Best Practices in Data-Center Consolidation for Select Companies
Project Overview: The client is a North America-based global advisory and consulting services firm. It wanted to understand the global best practices with respect to the consolidation of the global IT network and computing facilities and resources. In this regard, the client wanted Evalueserve to profile the five leading companies operating in different industries.

Work Approach/ Research Methodology: The project team conducted exhaustive research using both secondary and primary research resources simultaneously. In-depth secondary research was conducted to obtain basic information about companies and trends in the industry. Sources for research included paid databases such as Hoovers, LexisNexis and DialogPro, company annual reports, company websites and a general Internet search. Primary research was conducted to validate information obtained through secondary resources and to fill data gaps. Primary respondents included directors and managers in the IT department of various companies.

Project Overview: The client is a US based global consultancy firm that provides advisory services related to technology to several industry verticals. It wanted Evalueserve to conduct a short and interesting study to track trends in technology used for loyalty or promotional programs.

Work Approach/ Research Methodology: The project team conducted interviews with 50 executives, who were responsible for the marketing and promotional technology in the company. The duration of each interview was around 20-30 minutes.

The project was delivered in SPSS and MS Excel formats.
