I jumped into the business world right out of high school. Having been exposed to Network Marketing at a very young age, my goal was to have my own business, so I could live the lifestyle I heard about at the local seminars and rallies.

It took me ten years, but my dream of business ownership was finally realized, when I launched Douglas Homecleaning. We specialized in carpet and upholstery cleaning.

To say the first years was a struggle would be an understatement. It was not until my fifth year in business that I discovered direct response marketing. It was life changing to say the least.

Over the next seven years, I perfected my marketing skills. It culminated when I created one simple ad that generated 193 phone calls the first day it came out, and in total 647 phone calls for the first week. Not bad for a little owner operator. A little overwelming actually.

In 2005, I closed down Douglas Homecleaning due to health reasons. After 20 years in the industry my back was gone. Add to that the run and gun diet consisting of fast food washed down with huge quantities of coca cola wore out my pancreas (I developed type 2 diabetes). It was not an easy decision for me, but in the end, my health won out over a six figure income.

So for the last two years I have worked at a contact center here in Winnipeg called Convergys. A complete turn-around from my previous career. I became a tech support agent for a large US cable internet company.

My technical learning curve was pretty vertical. However my knowledge and skill has grown steadily during this time. It was like going to school and getting paid a fulltime salary for it.

Over the last two years I have been on a new quest. I joined yet another Network Marketing company. I was banging my head against calling leads. I was thinking to myself, there has got to be a better way.

I stopped buying the leads, and began my Internet Marketing education. I have purchased 1000's of dollar of ebooks, courses, and software.

Now that my education is complete, I am now in the process of applying both Direct Response Marketing and Internet Marketing to generate the qualified leads I need to build my business. Something I have coined as Inter-Network Marketing.

The future looks bright indeed.
