James Black spent 18 years in the Financial Services industry before he founded New Era Property Management in 2009. Having held various roles in Financial Reporting and Analysis before migrating into IT where he became Senior Vice President and managed corporate IT strategy, program portfolios, and led various project and functional teams. He held responsibilities for setting and managing budgets ranging from $500,000 to 40MM that affected a user base of over 2000+ business users in a globally diverse environment.

James began investing in real estate in 2005 and now owns a multi-family portfolio with 74 residential units.

New Era Property Management was founded in June 2009 to address the pressing market needs for a reputable property management firm that would deliver value to other investors and create a true partnership between the property owner and the management company. His vision was to ensure that New Era had the experience of any full-service management company, was dedicated to delivering results, and delivered transparency and exceptional customer service to its clients. Hence the New Era motto Experience, Results, Attention ERA.

James manages the overall operations of New Era but whose focus is primarily on business growth and attracting new clients, and working with existing clients in achieving their goals.
