Brief Description:
The purpose of this Statewide Contract: is to provide Referenced Clinical Laboratory Services to eligible facilities located throughout the Commonwealth. Referenced Laboratory Services are all medical laboratory testing for humans that a state facility cannot or selects not to perform in house that is referenced to an outside commercial laboratory for processing. The contract has two categories of contractors General Referenced Laboratory Service Providers (GRLSP) and Specialty Referenced Laboratory Service Providers (SRLSP). GRLSP are limited to two contractors and each has the ability to provide the vast majority of testing that will be needed. <u>Quest Diagnostics and UMass Memorial Medical Center have been awarded the two GRLSP Contracts, which started on July 1, 2002.</U> See <A HREF="http://www.comm-pass.com/Comm-PASS/Scripts/xdoc_view.idc?doc_id=012700">MED22_Contracts</A> in the closed section of Comm-PASS for contract details. SRLSP provide specialty testing that may be required during the life of the Contract. SRLSP(s) may be added to the Contract through rolling enrolment when there is a need for their services. <B>Specialty Referenced Laboratory Service Providers (SRLSP) may submit bids at any time under a Rolling Enrolment process.</B> The Procurement Management Team (PMT) will only add vendors to the contract if a State facility requires their services. 1) Calendar Rule Type: Submit a bid per the Solicitation requirements as long as the Close Date has not been exceeded.
 
2) Applicable Procurement Law: MGL c. 7, § 22; c. 30, § 51, § 52; 801 CMR 21.00 and 808 CMR 1.00Open and competitive procurement for Goods and Services, including Human and Social Services. Evaluated based on criteria designed to determine the best value to the Commonwealth.

4)Only ONE Response Per Vendor is Allowed: Vendors can only submit one response for this solicitation
