Badrinath Temple is a Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu situated in chamoli district in the state of Uttarakhand. Badrinath is a religious place and abode of Lord Vishnu. The idol was found in the Alakanda River, is in the meditation posture and flanked by the Nar and Naryan. Apart from the Lord Vishnu Idol, the temple complex has other 15 idols are also made of black marble. The beautiful Roof, well decorated pillars and the entrance are increased the charm of the place. It is believed that this is the place where the Lord Vishnu was meditated and his wife Goddess Lakshmi converted herself into a berry tree to protect him from hot and cold weather.
