Gangotri: One of the origin sources of Ganga Holy River is Gangotri which is one of the important Char Dham religious sites in Hindu religion. The birthplace of the Ganga River is Gangotri Dham which is the second temple which falls on the Chota Char Dham circuit. Originally Gangotri temple was built in the early 19th century by Amar Singh Thapa. It will be opened on the day of Akshaya Trithiya on 7th May 2019.
Kedarnath: The most remote religious spot in the yatra is Kedarnath which is situated in the district Rudraprayag of Uttarakhand state. An architectural marvel because of its ability to survive and its imposing design for so many centuries in such a harsh terrain is the grey stone structure. The northern- most Jyotirlinga is Kedar which is close to the source of the holy Mandakini River. It will be opened on 9th May 2019 and closed on the day of Bhai Duj after two days of Diwali.
Badrinath: One of most revered religious for Hindu religion is Badrinath which is acknowledged by sages and seers since antiquity. A part of both Chota Char Dham and Char Dham is Badrinath temple which is one of the 108 Divya Desams. Badrinath is dedicated to God Vishnu which set against the awe- inspiring backdrop if the Neelkanth Peak between the mountain of Nar and Narayan. It will be opened on 10th May 2019 and closed on the day of Bhai Duj after two days of Diwali.
