DAY 2 OF THE ITINERARY ? City Tour to explore the heritage Medina of Fes

Today a cultural city tour is waiting for you through the intellectual capital of Fez which was considered Mecca of the west and Athena of Africa. It is the biggest city in the country after Casablanca with a population of approximately 3 million. This city is the former capital and one of the country?s four imperial cities. Fez comprises three distinct parts, Fez el Bali which is the oldest part surrounded by a big wall, where are more than 9000 narrow streets and allies. Fez-Jdid or the new Fes, home of the Mellah the Jewish quarter and the Ville Nouvelle the newest section of Fez created during the French occupation.

Fez el Bali is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its medina is the largest in the world. Among its narrow streets and allies, the oldest university in the world is located; The University of Al-Karaouine, founded in AD 859. This University is still operating nowadays.

DAY 3 OF THE ITINERARY ? Drive to the great south and the Sahara Desert

After breakfast we will pick you up from your Hotel or Riad in Fes and drive southwards to Ifrane or Switzerland of Morocco and Azrou by the Middle Atlas Mountains; on the way, we will stop at cedar forest to see the Barbarian Ape in their natural habitat. Traveling through the Tizi Ntalghamt pass to Midelt and along the magnificent Ziz Gorges carved through volcanic rock, you?ll see views of the Middle-Atlas plateau, noticing how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city Errachidia. After lunch, we?ll continue our journey through the Ziz valley and Erfoud or the capital of Date, before we reach the black stony Desert and spend the night in the middle of nowhere.

DAY 4 OF THE ITINERARY ? Journey into the Sahara Desert

Today will be a day of Total Desert. We will cross one of the tracks that used in the Dakar Rally, visiting populated and nomadic of the desert. We will stop at the Marine Fossil Quarries, with an age of 360 million years and lunch will be a ?picnic? in an authentic Oasis in the desert. Then continue until we reach the Great Erg Chebbi Dunes, ?Unlimited Sea of sand dunes? where we will change our transportation from 44 vehicle to camels and enter the heart of the dunes, during this journey we will stop for an impressive sunset in the middle of the wild Sahara Dunes, Then continue to our camp where you will spend an unforgettable experience by sleeping under the thousands of stars.

DAY 5 OF THE ITINERARY ? Sahara Desert Exploration

Recommended early to walk to the top of the Great Dune and see the sunrise. Have traditional breakfast and return with the camels to your 44 vehicle and begin our Sahara Desert exploration trip by visiting the surrounded abandoned village of Merdani. We will continue to the black people village Khamlia which are known for their unique Gnawa African music and traditional dance.

Later we will go to Rissani to visit its traditional Souks or markets, A former economic capital of Morocco. Caravans come and go from this market to barter, donkeys and Berber pharmaceuticals (all natural). After touring the market in Rissani you will drive back to your Hotel in Sahara to relax and have some time to chill by the pool.

* The Rissani market is on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays so sometimes it does not coincide. In that case, you try to put another day or in Sometimes there is no time to visit it.

DAY 6 OF THE ITINERARY ? Visit Dades & Todra Gorges

After breakfast, our journey will start towards Erfoud, you set out behind the High Atlas Mountains on route to the Todra Gorge, passing by nomad people along the way. You will take a walk up in the towering Todra Gorges (985 feet high). The picturesque river valleys make for a beautiful journey towards the southeast of Morocco. Then continue your journey towards another impressive gorge Dades passing by strange rock creations of Tamnalt Hills.

DAY 7 OF THE ITINERARY ? Kasbah Ait Benhaddou and High Atlas Mountains

Today you will drive to Marrakech via Ouarzazate and the High Atlas Mountains.

Continue your trip via the Road of One Thousand Kasbahs. You will pass by the Skoura palm oasis just before arriving in Ouarzazate. Here, you will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kasbah Ait Benhaddou. In typical Moroccan fashion, the true treasures must be searched out and discovered? usually off the beaten path. In actuality, this setting has been used for more films than any other location in Morocco, including Lawrence of Arabia, Jesus of Nazareth, and recently The Gladiator. In the afternoon, you will be dropped off at your riad/hotel.

DAY 8 OF THE ITINERARY ? Explore Marrakech Medina in a city tour

A Full guided tour will be scheduled to discover Marrakesh, Tourist Number 1 destination in Morocco, known as the ?Red City?. Marrakesh is the most important former imperial city in Morocco?s history; it is situated near the foothills of the high Atlas Mountain. Similarly to other old towns, Marrakech comprises both an old fortified city The Medina and a very modern city called Gueliz built during the French occupation. Marrakesh has the largest traditional market (souk) in Morocco and also has one of the busiest squares in Africa and the world, Djemaa el Fna. The square is full of energy and vibes, where story-tellers, water sellers, dancers, snakes charmers and musicians perform in the open air. During the night the square turns into a huge chain restaurant. During our guided city tour, we will see The Koutoubia Mosque, built in the 12th century in the reign of the Almoravid Dynasty. We will go among narrow streets and allies in the medina. We pass by ?seven saints? during the reign of Moulay Ismail; the festival of the seven saints was founded to the request of the Sultan. The tombs of several renowned figures were moved to Marrakesh to attract pilgrims.
