The shelter is a non-profit organisation that aims to counsel, rehabilitate and empower women and their children by providing accommodation, support, employment training and schooling, until they can support themselves and their children independently. The Frida Hartley Shelter supports women, with or without children. Our Child Development Centre provides daily care, nutrition, schooling and trauma counselling for children under the age of 6 years.
The services we offer include, but are not limited to FREE job-skills training, accommodation up to 6 months, 3 meals a day, toiletries monthly, children?s supplies, counselling, medical assistance, therapy, life skills training, entrepreneurial skills and many more. We aim to eventually enable the mothers to fend for themselves and their children. The aim is to help them regain their dignity and become productive members of society.
