Shuck Memorial Was Founded In 1927 In The Lewisburg Community. The Shuck Memorial Baptist Church Was Named In Honor Of Jehu Lewis Shuck, A Lewisburg Native Who Became An Early Baptist Missionary To China. West Point Baptist Church Was Founded In Asbury In 1858 On The West Point Of A Ridge. It Was Later Moved To Its Present Location, But It Continued To Keep The Name Of West Point.
