As A Teenager, Patrick McKenna Himself Struggled To Find His Way In Life And To Establish His Identity. Patrick McKenna Founded Monarch School To Give Students The Same Opportunity He Had To Regain Confidence And Control Of His Life. The School Takes A Personalized Approach When It Comes To Mentoring Students. While Many Of The Students Who Attend Monarch School Have Struggled In Traditional Educational Settings In The Past, The School Advocates Small Class Sizes, Private Tutoring, And The Development Of Interpersonal Relationships With Students To Help Them Achieve Success Both In And Out Of The Classroom. In Addition To Their Academic Responsibilities, The School Encourages Students To Become Involved In The Local Community Of Heron, Montana, By Volunteering At A Local Soup Kitchen, Visiting With Seniors At Local Retirement Homes, Or Helping To Care For Animals At The Local Shelter. Monarch Believes That These Real-life Experiences Will Foster Humility And Gratitude And Help Students Realize What Important Roles They Can Play Within Their Community. Since The School’s Inception, Michelle And Patrick McKenna Have Awarded More Than $750,000 In Scholarships, And More Than 450 Students Have Graduated From The School. While Some Teenagers Arrive At The School Misguided, Withdrawn, And Insecure, Many Leave As Calm, Confident, And Mature Individuals Who Have Acquired The Skills And Tools Necessary For Personal Exploration And Development.
