Hey, I'm a child of the 60's, you know what that implies. I'm basically a Kennedy Democrat that has really never gotten over the fact that there's never going to be a Camelot as long as multi-national corporations and globalization are our watchwords. There is such a squeeze on everyone to give up personal freedom for national security it amazes me that we sit back and accept it. Anyone that disagrees with George is a traitor, what bull. We're doing all this because of our oil addiction. Since the election, reports on global warming and $4.00 gas prices, people have started to look at the environment and conservation with a little more interest these days. We got involved with a 'renewable resources group about three years ago and did some marketing for them. We got so enthused we started our own web site and offered some green products and advice. Things went along nicely for about a year but my partner and I got dragged in different directions and could no longer give the site the attention it deserved. Things have changed and renewable resources has become a buzz word. About a year ago we wrote an article about how wind energy could provide a desperate city, Cleveland,Oh, 5,000 - 7,000 new high paying jobs. The fact was a feasibility study had already been done with a surprisingly positive recommendation of the project. The local paper and their friends at First Energy suppressed publishing anything about the project. Finally two weeks ago they did; but it was a very small article. Anyhow we're putting the blog up to try to find like minds or open minds that know unless we do something very soon we are going to be very cold and very hungry. There are a lot of simple things that if everyone did could make a tremendous impact. See our blog for ways to participate.
